• proved that Snobelen's 'create a crisis' was no slip of the tongue but has actually been carried out by Johnson and Harris who have embraced Snobelen's philosophy;
• confirmed what the Globe and Mail described as the 'Kremlin and Bunker Boys' who really run Harris and act like dictators, intimidating everyone, including their own backbenchers;
• showed how far Harris and Johnson are willing to go to interfere with or influence the courts and our judicial system - through ad campaigns and the use of the term 'illegal strike;'
• created province-wide interest and support in the continuation of a strong, well-funded public education system;
• galvanized community and parental support for public education and teachers;
• aided the media in unmasking the weaknesses of the Harris regime;
• strengthened all teachers for the fight through to election day;
• proved that teachers care about students whereas the government cares about money;
• brought teachers and trustees closer together to continue the political and legal fight against the Harris government;
• confirmed, through Justice MacPherson, in his award denying the government injunction, that the government does not have a monopoly on the definition of the public interest;

October 27th, the first day of the political protest, will become the day in history when teachers and educational workers across Ontario stood up against a dictatorial government whose sole intention is the destruction of public education. In fact, Johnson announced, in his press conference on Thursday afternoon that his next step is charter schools and vouchers.
